Every few months, I carefully rebatch soap scraps—the trimmings from planing and beveling my handcrafted soaps—into fresh, usable bars. Once these new bars have adequately dried and cured, I deliver them to organizations that serve vulnerable populations. Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Leslie Whited at the Mosaic Interfaith Ministries facility in Salt Lake City. I was deeply impressed by the extraordinary generosity and selflessness demonstrated by Dr. Whited and her entire staff.
