This review is for Lisa’s Black Salt and Cypress shave soap in Artisan base (aka premium tallow).

Lisa’s Artisan formula is my favorite shave soap. For some context, I’ve tried 55 brands of shave soap, including some heavy hitters, such as Aqua di Parma, Boellis, Declaration Grooming, Ethos, Grooming Department, Saponificio Varesino, Santa Maria Novella, etc.

IMO, the performance is in the same ballpark as any of the other “Tier 1” soaps I’ve tried. I would say its closest to Boellis in terms of scent strength, easy of lathering, slickness, residual slickness, and post shave feel. I don’t experience any difficulty making great lather even when using hard tap water (288 ppm/16.84 gpg).

The Black Salt and Cypress is a very mild and neutral scent, and can be paired with any aftershave.

The aftershave balms are also fantastic.

I found out last year that I'm allergic to specific chemicals, and of course those chemicals are found in body wash, shampoo, conditioner, etc.
When I found Lisa's lovely website, I got super excited! This soap is perfect for me. I don't react to any of the ingredients, and it works great for my skin.

Its a soap bar that looks like watermelon. Doesnt smell too melon’y or super sweet but i love the look.

I have had a trial slice of this soap in my sewing cabinet for several years, and it still smells amazing. Takes care of that weird smell that some new fabrics have. Everyone that opens that door asks what makes it smell so good :) I'm on here today because i'm getting a new cabinet & need more.

This soap is fantastic. The smell is seriously classic old school, and a must for someone who wants to smell like badass Teddy Roosevelt or something.

Black Tweed soap is an excellent soap. Has great lather & scent that could be used by both men & women. I would like to have a little more masculine scent, but this is very good. Excellent communication & very fast shipping!

This is a very good product. The scent is a natural citrus blend, that does not smell artificial. It is mentholated, with just the right amount so you definitely know it is there. But, not painful as some of the hyper mentholated soaps. Lastly, the base itself leaves a long-lasting post shave moisturizing effect.

I own hundreds of dollars worth of shave soaps. I can tell you as someone with a thick beard who uses a safety razor, that Lisa’s shave soap is probably my absolute favorite one! The rich lather and skin conditioning aspects are simply unbeatable. You will be more than impressed with the performance here!!! ( And the scents are fantastic, as well ).

I'm highly allergic to Palm/coconut and all derivatives and I've never reacted to her soap or the packaging! Been buying a couple years now. Will buy for the rest of my life. The scent is light, neutral, and good. Leaves my skin feeling clean. Works for my hair as well. Her hand written notes are the prefect cherry on top. Lisa is the best!!!!

This Florida Freeze Citris Shave Soap is a remarkable product. By far, the best shave soap I have ever used. The Citris fragrance is wonderful. The thick lather just blew me away. The tingle after I shave is like nothing I have ever experienced. You must purchase this shave soap

Lisa's "Herb Infused Shaving Soap - Platinum Formula" delivers! The scent is pleasant and not overpowering, and shaving is smooth. I believe I may have found my new favorite shaving soap.

This soap is bad. Smells like musty dried up tobacco with stale walnuts. Threw it away. Never have I had a bad smell soap as this one.

Product is good, but the shipping price is crazy, 550 kr for 6 small botless
