How to care for your handmade soaps.
The handmade soap you purchase from Lisa's Natural Herbal Creations is free from chemical preservatives and hardeners so they will need special care to help make them last longer. Since my soaps have a naturally high glycerin content they must have a place to dry out between uses, because glycerin attracts water and if left in standing water your soap will break down quickly.
For longer lasting soap
1. Use a soap dish or deck that has good drainage or a soap rack so that your soap dries out between uses.
2.Keep your soap out of direct stream of water when not in use.
3. Educate you family member on how to care for your handmade soaps.
If you purchase extra bars of soap and are storing them, please take note. Unused soaps need to be stored in a cool dry place (preferably NOT in the bathroom because of high humidity). A linen closet or dresser drawer are great places plus they will naturally scent them with the wonderful fragrance of your handmade soaps.
